Now, I'm not talking about floors in the way you might think. This isn't the fun type of flooring project, where I get to pick hardwood stain or tile and grout...this is purely structural. This morning I met with a structural engineering company who will be leveling out the floors in the house! I knew this was a problem before the purchase, and I got the seller to essentially pay for it, yay! I also knew that this was the first thing that needed to be fixed before I can start work on all of the fun stuff!
This morning was also the first time I walked into my house when it was actually *MY* house! I fumbled around with the keys (embarrassing) but eventually got inside. To my dismay, but not to my surprise, there was still some of the seller's junk in there. Mostly small stuff though, easy to throw away. And the "for sale" sign was still out front! Hopefully that will go away soon :)
The floor leveling shouldn't take more than a week, and I'll keep you all posted on how that goes!
